Nat 1 Publishing is thrilled to announce that our Write, Wrong or Otherwise Short Story Challenge is returning for its second year!
Following the enthusiastic response to last year’s week-long event, this year’s challenge has been expanded to two weeks, giving writers more time to create and collaborate. In the new format, participants will spend the first week, from August 10 to August 16, focused on writing their short stories. The second week, from August 17 to August 23, will be dedicated to peer editing and feedback through Nat 1 Publishing’s Discord community (and, for those slower writers, a bit more time to complete their story). This addition aims to foster deeper connections between writers and help polish each piece before publication—but don’t worry, each story will still be edited by the Nat 1 Publishing as well!
All completed stories will be published in the upcoming 2025 WWoO Anthology, offering participants the chance to see their work in print alongside fellow writers—and this anthology will be FREE to download as either a PDF or ePUB format.
Writers who sign up before August 5th will also be mailed a WWoO 2025 poster, sticker, and bookmark as a thank-you for committing early. Physical gifts are only available for participants in the US, Canada, and the UK.
The WWoO Challenge has become a highlight of Nat 1 Publishing’s calendar, celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of storytelling. Writers of all experience levels are encouraged to join in and share their voices.
