Anil Kurukulasooriya was born in London to Sri Lankan parents and is rumored to be of royal lineage. He has lived in London for the majority of his life apart from attending University in Manchester and Bristol. He studied Geography and then Law before qualifying as a solicitor. He began writing his debut novel when living in Vienna after a youth obsessing about primates. When he’s not writing, he is a dedicated father and husband who also enjoys boxing, long-distance running, and poetry.
