Mary O’Flynn, born in Massachusetts, became a voracious reader at a young age with a strong interest in reading about the lives of others. Her parents were afraid that at age seven she was developing into a morbid child as she was often observed reading the obituaries in newspapers. Mary has an active imagination and always has stories percolating in her brain. However, life got in the way of writing these stories until late in life. Now, living in Florida, she still reads obituaries particularly in the New York Times where she gets some good ideas for stories.
