Dr. Melvin Sterne earned his PhD in Fiction Writing from Florida State University. He currently serves as Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) where he teaches writing and literature. He has published two novels (Zara – Ink Brush Press, and The Shoeshine Boy – Lamar University Press) and two short story collections (The Number You Have Reached and Redemption, both with Lamar University Press). He has published, to date, 40 individual short stories, with a number of these winning awards or being republished in anthologies. He lives in Singapore when he is not teaching in China.
