1. Sponsor
Nat 1 Publishing, a literary nonprofit corporation 501c3 (“Sponsor”) is proud to present the “Nat 1: Maerit” sticker‐collecting contest.
2. Eligibility
- Who May Enter: The contest is open only to legal residents and citizens of the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
- Age Requirement: Entrants must be at least 18 years old.
- Exclusions: Employees, agents, affiliates, and immediate family members of Nat 1 Publishing are not eligible to participate. Volunteers may participate.
3. Contest Period
- Start: 14 February 2025 at 1:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
- End: 1 January 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
- Note: Entries submitted outside of this period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
- Entry Method: Earn entries by completing tasks as detailed in the “Nat 1: Maerit” booklet.
- The booklet is available as a free download. Physical copies are available for purchase but are not required for participation.
- Maerit Badges: Each task successfully completed awards a “maerit badge.” Each badge is assigned a specific number of contest entries as specified in the booklet.
- Verification: All entries and earned badges are subject to verification. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions may be disqualified.
5. Entry Pool and Badge System
- Accumulation: Every maerit badge earned contributes a set number of entries into the overall contest pool.
- Tracking: Participants are responsible for following the instructions provided with each task. Nat 1 Publishing will maintain a verified record of earned entries.
- Disqualification: Any attempt to manipulate or submit fraudulent entries will result in immediate disqualification.
6. Prizes and Winner Selection
- Prize Drawing: Prizes will be awarded through a random drawing from the pool of verified entries. Drawings will be conducted on 5 January 2026.
- Prize Details: The number, type, and value of prizes are determined solely by Nat 1 Publishing and may be subject to change.
- Odds of Winning: The odds depend on the total number of entries received.
- Winner Notification: Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at signup. Winners must respond within a seven (7) days to claim their prize. Failure to respond may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.
7. General Conditions
- Acceptance of Rules: Participation in the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules.
- Right to Cancel/Modify: Nat 1 Publishing reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest (or any part thereof) if any factor undermines the fairness or integrity of the contest.
- No Substitutions: Entries must be submitted in the format and through the methods provided. No substitutions or transfers of entries are allowed.
8. Governing Law
This contest and its terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine of the United States of America, without regard to any conflicts of law.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to the contest shall be resolved in accordance with the state of Maine of the United States of America’s law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Maine.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants will be used solely for administering the contest and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By entering, participants consent to such use.
11. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Nat 1 Publishing and its affiliates from any liability, loss, or damage arising out of or in connection with the contest or the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize.
12. Sponsor’s Rights
Nat 1 Publishing reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these rules at any time as needed to maintain the contest’s fairness and integrity.
