This anthology is the culmination of Nat 1 Publishing’s first Winter Court Writing Challenge. Is it a collection of professional and curated stories? No. Some stories are penned by published authors; others are crafted by people who have never tried telling a story before. Most of the contributors are somewhere between those two ends of the spectrum. You may find rough edges here. You may find brilliance here. You will certainly find risk. What you will not find is indifference. Every piece in this collection represents someone choosing to try, to finish, to tell a story. If the Winter Court Writing Challenge proved anything, it’s that creativity does not thrive in solitude, but in shared endeavor. That’s what Winter Court is all about.
