Every year, we have two writing challenges hosted on our official Discord server— the Winter Court Writing Challenge in January and the Write, Wrong or Otherwise short story challenge in August. Both are intended to encourage writers to write, improve their skills in both writing and editing, and strengthen the Nat 1 community. Winter Court provides four prompts throughout the month, with a selection of words and items to use in each story, while Write, Wrong or Otherwise offers a week to write a short story and a second week for peer editing. Both events compile the completed works into anthologies, and the participants receive a free digital copy of the book. Sometimes, there are even prizes to be won!
